On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain held the 25th edition of the Model United Nations Debate titled "Peace and Human Rights" at the Cascadia Hotel in St. Ann’s.
Four Student Delegates from Cowen Hamilton Secondary School Represented Leaders From:
🇬🇾 Guyana - Ms. Jovia Graham: “The world will be okay because the world has you.”
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe - Ms. Atia Jones: “A nation’s voice matters not for its size, but for the courage of those who speak for it.”
🇨🇲 Cameroon - Ms. Jada Hercules: “Just like hopes springing high, I’ll rise.”
🇾🇪 Yemen - Ms. Rachele Hackshaw: “Peace for some means peace for none.”
Every positive action has a positive reaction.
 
For the past 24 years, the Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain has hosted an annual
youth development and education programme, known as Model United Nations (MUN). Annually, high school students from across the country role-play as delegates of the UN General Assembly, researching and discussing global issues.
The Interact Club of Cowen Hamilton
Secondary School has four delegates in this year’s milestone event. Representing Yemen - Ms. Rachele Hackshaw; Zimbawe - Atia Jones; Guyana - Ms. Jovia Graham and Cameroon - Ms. Jada Hercules.
Congratulations to our delegates on successfully completing eight weeks of intense training in public speaking, diplomacy, conflict resolution and the work of the United Nations.
This weekend our delegates will role-play as world leaders discussing "PEACE AND HUMAN RIGHTS” together with 250 young people from across Trinidad and Tobago and the region.
