On July 3 2021, the Rotary Club of Princes Town held its first virtual and 29th Presidential Handover Ceremony where our President Rishi Ramlogan was elected to serve another year as our President due to the sudden passing of our President Elect Rhea Nobee in July 2020.

President Rishi Ramlogan congratulated the Club on their achievements during this year in spite of the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.  This year, the Club provided assistance towards surgeries, relief hampers, wheelchairs, installation of handwashing bays at district health facilities and schools and a medical outreach clinic at Gangaram Trace in New Grant.  The Club also distributed Lenovo tablets to thirty secondary school students to access their online classes during the restrictions.  The Club also conducted two successful fundraisers – Chokhafest and Golf Tournament which provided the funds to allocate towards tertiary scholarships and requests for assistance.

Rotarians were recognized by President Rishi Ramlogan for their dedicated service and selfless contributions towards the Club’s projects and fundraisers. Awards were given out for 100% attendance, Quiet Rotarian, Spirit of Service, Heart of Rotary, Above and Beyond and Rotarian of the Year which was posthumously given to Rhea Nobee.

The Club awarded two Paul Harris Fellows to Rotarian Dr. Lindsey Aziz for her humanitarian service as a frontline worker battling the Covid-19 virus at the Princes Town District Hospital and her service with the Rotary Foundation and to Nabeel Mohammed for his educational achievement by placing on the Caribbean Examination Council Cape 2020 Merit List for Computer Science in the region and for his volunteer services to the Club for the last 10 years.

After the installation of President Rishi Ramlogan as President for the incoming year by AG Brian Ramatally, the goals and objectives were presented by President Rishi Ramlogan for the new rotary year as we serve to change lives. To assist with achieving these goals, the new Board of Directors with their respective portfolios was presented to the Club.
