An International Achievement

 

The Rotary Club of Princes Town Trinidad and Tobago is proud of its member and Past President Zobida Ragbirsingh who on the 25^th October 2014 at the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) inaugural awards in Barbados was awarded the Regional Award 2014 in acknowledgement of her tireless efforts in the fight against diabetes and her dedication shown in improving the lives of people with the disease in Trinidad and Tobago.  

 

Sir Michael Hurst President of IDF and Former Member of the British Parliament presented the award to Rotarian Zobida and the IDF particularly honoured her for her voluntary work as President of the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago and her passion for educating not only the persons with diabetes but the entire public, healthcare processionals and lay persons on prevention, management and control of diabetes. 

 

Rotarian Zobida has served as a member of the Rotary Club of Princes Town Trinidad and Tobago in the various avenues of service for over 15 years and brings her expertise in diabetes to the Club.
