CELEBRATE – 7th Annual Tea and Fashion Show

The Club's 7th annual Tea and Fashion show, Celebrate, was held on Sunday, November 13th 2016 at the Hyatt Trinidad. This year’s event was extra special as we also celebrated 100 years of the Rotary Foundation.

As usual, this event was well attended by friends and supporters of Rotary. The event opened with a live rendition of the National Anthem on steelpan by Kyle Ali and guests were treated to a warm welcome by Club President Debbie Roopchand. Past District Governor Ms Lara Quentrall-Thomas delivered a very poignant feature address which highlighted the great work of the Rotary Foundation.

The event was chaired by the beautiful and entertaining Nikki Crosby, with some help from our very own Rotarian Hafiz Ali. While enjoying their delicious Tea plates, guests were serenaded by Roger Salloum’s Trio featuring vocalist Carol Jacobs as well as American Violinist Tracy Scott and they were delighted by the dance moves of Xtreme Breakers.

The highlight of the evening was of course the beautiful, exotic designs from our top local designers displayed by the lovely House of Jacqui models. The Club took the opportunity to honour Jacqueline Koon How owner of House of Jacqui with a Paul Harris Recognition for her unwavering support of this event since its inception.

The fantastic Raffle and Door prizes also added to the excitement of the evening.

Special thanks to all who attended and helped us to raise much needed funds. We are also grateful to everyone who took part in the show and worked to make the evening truly memorable. See you next year!
