Celebrating Our Mothers!
Mothers held the spotlight on May 9th as our Club held an appreciation function for all the mothers in our Club at Doc’s Ranch in Phillipine.
Secretary Dr. Ronald Gobin did a presentation on the Rotary Foundation where members, spouses and potential Rotarians were enlightened on the work done by the Rotary Foundation and how important it is to contribute funds towards the Foundation for all Clubs to benefit from the Programs’ funds.
President Elect Capil serenaded the audience with a beautiful rendition of “Aye Maa Teri Soorat Se Alag” from the Indian film Daadi Maa. As a form of appreciation, Past President Vilma presented token bottles of non alcoholic wines and fresh carnation stems to the mothers and future mothers present in the audience whilst Rotarian Terry presented an assortment of chocolates for all to partake.
Many members lingered at the poolside after the meeting to fellowship with each other and welcomed the potential Rotarians and their families to the world of Rotary.
