The Rotary Club of Princes Town in keeping with its on-going  program to foster and promote harmony within our diverse religious community  collaborated with the Palmyra Hindu School in observance of Divali 2011.

This year’s participation was in the form of designing a  Divali Card. Each student was asked to create a card depicting some aspect of Divali.

The prize distribution was held on Friday 9th December, 2011 at the Palmyra Hindu School.

The committee came together and was able to do the judging  of all the cards. Prizes were awarded to the best three (3) cards in each of  the seven (7) classes. A total of twenty one (21) prizes  were handed out, (First, Second and Third).  Book prizes were given to all winning students.  The  Rotary Club also sponsored the snacks and the fruit drinks to all students.

In attendance were Rotarians Jamir and Capil Beharry from  the club, together with Mrs. Tara Ousman and Mrs. Carol Arjoon, who were  responsible for the selecting and purchasing of the prizes (books).
