EID-UL-FITR 2013

Imam Neezam Mohammed of the Gasparillo ASJA Mosque spoke of the importance of  giving charity and service as one of the tenants of Islam at the Club’s Eid-ul-Fitr observance meeting of August 21st. He noted that membership and participation in organizations that allow individuals to demonstrate such a level of caring is honorable an encouraged in the Muslim faith.

After the singing of melodious “Qaseedas“ and a special welcome by President Bashir, Rotarians and families were treated to a delicious dinner and the traditional “Sewine” and sweets.

Children were also treated at the Tableland Mosque on October 20th as part of the Eid–ul-Adha observence. Special food hampers were also distributed to families in need as Rotarians spent the Sunday afternoon with villagers in the peaceful countryside setting.
