Joint meeting of 5 Clubs, Inductions and Feature Speaker from the TTPS on Fraud

On Wednesday 17 May 2017 the Rotary Club of Princes Town hosted its 5th and largest joint meeting for the Rotary year by partnering with the Rotary Clubs of Central Port of Spain, Point Fortin, San Fernando and San Fernando South for the meeting.

Presidents Debbie Roopchand, Charmaine Callender, Robert Qui, Faraz Hosein and Tessa Solomon all brought greetings on behalf of their respective clubs and shared with the audience some of the recent activities engaging the attention of their clubs.

Highlights of the afternoon were:

The presentation on Fraud in T&T by the Head of the TTPS Fraud Squad Senior Superintendent of Police Totaram Dookhie and his team who brought home to attendees the prevalence of fraud in Trinidad and Tobago and the limited resources in place to win the battle against fraud,

Presentation of project RARE by Caron Asgarali with whom the Rotary Club of Princes Town had recently partnered with to raise awareness on the effect of gun violence, and

The inductions of two new members into the fold of the Rotary Club of Point Fortin.

The evening was enjoyed by the 80 plus attendees who engaged in great Rotary fellowship.
