MEDICAL OUTREACH CLINIC AT PIPARO COMMUNITY CENTRE

As part of Rotary’s Motto “Service Above Self” and as part of Rotary’s focus on Community Development and Health, the Rotary Club of Princes Town conducted a Health Outreach Clinic at Piparo Community Centre on Sunday 7th August from 9am to 12pm. On offer were: Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and Cholesterol testing, Mens Health Advice, Health and fitness consultations, Doctors and Dental examinations,Diabetes Management Advice, Counselling services, Legal Advice, Pharmacy, Free Toiletries, Lightly used clothing items were also available for distribution. The Club extends gratitude to Chairman Councillor Gowrie Roopnarine for identifying this community and Village Council President Mr. Ghany for organizing the facilities. The club is particularly grateful to Urologists and Lecturer Dr Satyendra Persad who facilitated Dr. Kirk Gooden and Dr. Otis Payne to do our first Men's Health consultation. We are glad to continue working with the Diabetes Association through Nurse Salima, Nurse Dimple Ramkisoon-Stoute, Pharmacist Sabrina Ramkissoon & Anandi Maraj and Past President Zobida. Thank you to medical student Ethan Sahatoo and Colgate for donations of Toothpaste and Toothbrushes, Bryden Pi for the Cholesterol test strips, JT Rapid who supplied the Glucose machines and test strips and Eddie's Pharmacy for donations of medications.
