Trinidad designers Heather Jones, Claudia Pegus, Noor, Zadd and Eastman, Loud by Affiah and Tobago’s Kaj Designs along with well known boutiques Diva’s, Sunnah Wear, Little Black Dress & Co. and Judy’s Formal and Bridal shared the catwalk at the Hyatt Trinidad on October 6th in a colorful, contemporary mix of resort, ethnic and formal wear.

The occasion was the annual tea and fashion event to raise funds for the Club’s ongoing work in Diabetes Awareness, Education and Prevention and to contribute to Rotary’s work in eradicating Polio worldwide.

Honorary Rotarians Nikki Crosby (Rotary Club of Princes Town) and Errol Fabian (Rotary Club of San Juan) hosted a packed ballroom to an evening of fun and much laughter as international Soca artist Sherwyn Winchester brought some patrons to their feet dancing.

In his address, President Bashir spoke of the Club’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles from an early age. This he said would reduce the incidents of chronic disease among the younger generation as they get older. He urged the corporate and private sector to become involved in developing positive lifestyle programs in communities which include emphasis on physical fitness, team building and self esteem.

President Bashir also reminded patrons that Polio eradication is within our grasp and with an extra effort we can ensure that all the world’s children can be protected from this disease.
