ROTARY CELEBRATES WOMEN

On Friday 12th May 2017, the Rotary Club of Princes Town partnered with the group Women Encouraging Women, founded by Keisha Alexander and Kezia Figaro, in their “Give A Helping Hand-bag” drive to distribute handbags filled with toiletries to women in need across the country. This was the group’s Mother’s Day initiative to collect used handbags, fill them with products frequently used by women and distribute to those in need.

In keeping with one of Rotary International’s areas of focus which seeks to improve the lives of Women and Children, the Rotary Club of Princes Town was able to collect and fill over 100 hand-bags which were delivered to the group for distribution. Special thanks to Rotarians Terry, Hafiz, partner in service Laura and children of Rotary Kyle and Rehan for their help in filling the hand-bags.

President Debbie Roopchand, Rotarian Hafiz and partner in service, Laura were on hand to assist with the drop off of the hand-bags to group members Natalie Ramjohn and Jowella Williams.
