ROTARY CLUB OF PRINCES TOWN 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
On May 10th 2013, the Rotary Club of Princes Town celebrated its 20th Anniversary in a lavish function held at Soong’s Great Wall Restaurant in San Fernando.
Chartered on May 7th 1993 with 26 members, there were still 8 remaining members who continue to be active in club’s projects. Each charter member was presented with a Rotary dial watch in recognition of their 20 years in service.
It was indeed a night of nostalgia, as it was at Soong’s Great Wall Restaurant our Charter ceremony was held 20 years ago. We were also entertained by the Shiv Shakti Dance Company who also entertained us in 1993.
The highlight of the evening was a power point presentation outlining 20 years in service with emphasis on the club’s achievements. We also took the opportunity to induct Ms. Krista Chang and Mr. Vishnu Seetaram as new members. All mothers were also recognized as Mother’s Day was 2 days away.
Our specially invited guests included our main guest speaker Justice Frank Seepersad, President of Rotary Club of San Juan which is our sponsor club and some of their club members and Mr. Ramnarine Bissoon, our club’s benefactor.
The party continued into the next day.
