The Installation Ceremony started off with inspiring greetings from President Crystal, who served as Director of Rotary Foundation for the 2017/2018 rotary year. In her speech, Crystal praised the Interact Club on not only achieving chartering on the 04th September 2017, but also achieving Interact Citation by reviewing the various club activities the Interactors engaged in throughout the 2017/2018 rotary year including hosting a Polio Awareness with the students of St. Stephen’s College during morning assembly, hosting a fundraiser and making a contribution to the Annual Polio Fund, partnering with the Rotary Club of Princes Town, Princes Town Regional Corporation and fellow Interactors from Princes Town West Secondary School to celebrate Earth Day in assisting to plan over 150 trees at the Yolande Pompey Grounds and attending RYLA 2018 in April 2018. President Crystal ended with encouraging the new Board for 2018/2019 to host a Rotary Day event for this upcoming year to showcase to the world what rotary is about and to have fun whilst doing so.

Outgoing President before passing the mantle of leadership to the incoming President gave a heartwarming speech and thanked God, her Board and members of the Interact Club for their ongoing support and participation throughout the last rotary year. After that, the handing over ceremony took place and subsequently a speech by the new president, Ariel Mahabir together with the pinning and introduction of her new Board members followed. The spectacular occasion ended with a presentation of gratitude tokens by outgoing President, Akasia Augustine to Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Princes Town and past Executive Board members for their unwavering support, dedication and commitment during the last rotary year.

The event was chaired by Interactors Brent Sookdeo and Brianna Jagdeo and the spectacular occasion ended off with a profound and touching poem performed by Interactor Kristin Lee.

The Installation Ceremony was a momentous event for those who attended and the Rotary Club of Princes Town is confident that Ariel Mahabir and her 2018-2019 Board of Directors will continue the great legacy started of the Interact Club of St. Stephen’s College.
