Rotary Club of Princes Town Trinidad and Tobago Light up Rotary

In recognition of August 2014 being Rotary's membership month and in response to Rotary International's President Gary C.K. Huang’s invitation to Rotary Clubs the world over to increase their membership, the Rotary Club of Princes Town Trinidad and Tobago under the leadership of its President Jamir Ousman conducted a Rotary awareness/membership drive on the afternoon of Wednesday 27th August 2014 at Level 1, Gulf City Mall, San Fernando in an effort to increase its fold.

Members of the Club shared with the public in attendance the history and significance of Rotary in today’s world, the aims and ideals of Rotary and the joys of being a Rotarian through conversation and the distribution of printed material on Rotary.

At least 10 members of the public expressed a genuine interest in learning more about Rotary and the Club towards fulfilling Rotary’s objective to “Light up Rotary” and by so doing light up the world has undertaken to invite these members to its weekly meeting so as to learn more about Rotary so as to make a difference and positive impact on the world.

The Club is thankful to its Membership Chair Wayne Nanan for organising the event, to its members who attended and supported the Club’s efforts to “Light up Rotary” and expresses special thanks to Rotarian Seunarine Sanmook for making possible the use of the Gulf City mall.
