In observance of Rotary Foundation Month, celebrated annually throughout November, the Rotary Club of Princes Town hosted an informative and inspiring presentation titled “Doing Good in the World.” The presentation was delivered by Crystal Ann Harper, President of the Rotary Club of Princes Town for the 2025–2026 term.

The session highlighted the significance of Rotary Foundation Month as a time to recognize, promote, and celebrate the impactful work of The Rotary Foundation (TRF). Members were reminded that the Foundation transforms Rotarian contributions into life-changing humanitarian projects, while also encouraging education, donor recognition, and increased awareness of Rotary’s global reach.

Founded in 1917 by Arch C. Klumph, The Rotary Foundation continues its mission to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Supported entirely by voluntary contributions, TRF administers grants across seven key areas of focus, including peacebuilding, disease prevention, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, education, economic development, and the environment.

The presentation showcased several Foundation programs in action, such as PolioPlus, global and district grants, scholarships, vocational training teams, peace centers, and disaster response initiatives. Local impact was also emphasized through the Rotary Club of Princes Town’s district grant projects, including farm-to-table initiatives and childhood obesity prevention.

Members were encouraged to participate in the Every Rotarian, Every Year (EREY) initiative, which promotes 100% member participation through annual giving. The presentation also outlined donor recognition opportunities, including Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society, Major Donor, and Arch Klumph Society distinctions.

Concluding with a strong call to action, President Harper urged members to give annually, inspire others to contribute, and consider joining the Paul Harris Society. The presentation reinforced the enduring message that through collective giving and commitment, Rotarians continue to create lasting change—locally and globally—truly “Doing Good in the World.”
