The village of Newbolt in Tabaquite, located close to the Navet Dam, ironically is a community without pipe borne or potable water.

Sprouting from an unplanned land development, a total of eight (8) families with young children are without potable water.   Their only method of obtaining water in Newbolt is through rainfall and nearby rivers to supply water for their crops and livestock as well.

The Rotary Club of Princes Town seeing the plight of the residents decided to furnish them with three (3) one thousand (1,000) gallon water tanks so that they can have a continued supply of potable water. The tanks will be placed in strategic areas easily accessible by the villagers.

The Rotary Club of Princes Town worked in collaboration with the village leader Mr. Dennis Chancellor, who willingly assisted with putting down the bases for the tanks and will act as the liaison from the village to communicate with WASA to have the tanks filled with water on a regular basis.   Mr. Chancellor also accepted the responsibility for the safe keeping and proper management of the water tanks.
