With approximately 90% of people living with diabetes affected by Type 2 diabetes—often developing slowly and sometimes without obvious symptoms—the initiative emphasized the critical message: know your risk factors and get tested.
In observance of World Diabetes Day, the Princes Town Branch of DATT, with the support of the Rotary Club of Princes Town, hosted a vibrant Health Fair on November 14th. The event provided patrons with free blood sugar and blood pressure testing, along with educational resources focused on diabetes awareness, management, and prevention.
The Health Fair served as an important community outreach effort, encouraging proactive health monitoring and informed lifestyle choices. Through initiatives such as this, the Rotary Club of Princes Town continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting health, education, and well-being within the community.
