The Rotary Club of Princes Town in collaboration with the Interactors of St. Stephen’s College conducted a webinar “Why Is Polio Eradication Important?” on October 24 in commemoration of World Polio Day.
Interactors led by President Anushree Harricharan gave a history of polio with reference to Rotary’s involvement to date. Foundation Director Dr Lindsey Aziz highlighted the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and why it is necessary to continue the fight to eradicate polio. At the end of the webinar, there was an interactive session where questions were answered about polio and its presence in Trinidad.
